The Sequim Library Temporary Location opened on April 1. The temporary location is open regular hours and offers the entire Sequim Library collection for browsing and checkouts, as well as public computers, printing, newspapers, magazines, Wi-Fi, seating, and programs for all ages.
Although great as a temporary location for the next year, the space has limitations. The building has only two toilets with plumbing that’s not built for the nearly 10,000 public visits the Sequim Library gets every month; it does not have efficient heating or cooling systems for a building its size; it lacks natural light throughout the space; it offers no division or sound proofing between areas used for different activities; the roof leaks; and there are no meeting rooms or outdoor spaces. We’re excited to move into the new Sequim Library next spring!
