Attention: Do you have closets full of used
books? Overflowing book shelves?
The Friends accept good quality used books to be sold at sales or in the
store. Proceeds from the sales go toward providing materials for the
library. The Friends seek both hardback and paperback books in good
condition, published within the last five years, and especially children's
books. You may drop donations off at the check out counter of the
library. If you have more than three boxes of books, the Friends will arrange for one of its members to
evaluate and pick up your donations.
Friends
Foundation
The Foundation has been established, through a generous
donation, to provide continuing financial support for Friends activities. You may wish to consider contributing to the Foundation as part of estate
planning or as an annual or one time contribution. Our financial advisor, Hallett
and Associates, can provide advice or assistance if you would like to consider
contributing.

Friends Store
The Friends Store in the library lobby sells used books, CDs and tapes.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO WORK IN THE STORE. Although the Library Store is
open only a few hours each week, it has taken in over $6000 each year for the
past several years. There is a group of dedicated volunteers who work in
the store, but unfortunately there are not enough. If you, or someone you
know can spare two hours per month, it would be great help. To
volunteer please call Margaret Platt at (360) 457-1391.
The Friends publish a periodic newsletter that provides
information about the Friends activities and up coming events. Watch this
site for selected articles. Newsletter Editor Natalie Spiegel.
Volunteer
Opportunities
We invite all Friends of the Library members to step forward
as volunteers to work with the Board on efforts such as programs, the store
and sorting donated books. Please consider giving an hour or so each
month to maintain a strong active and vibrant organization. To volunteer
please call Margaret Platt at (360) 457-1391.
