For Part-Time employees working at least 22.5hpw NOLS offers the following health related benefits at pro-rated rates:

  • Partially-paid medical insurance coverage available for employee with dependent coverage option by payroll deduction.

  • Employer funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).

Eligibility for the HRA benefit is subject to IRS and ACA rules, which require enrollment in a qualifying group medical plan. NOLS-offered insurance meets this requirement. For further information, please contact HR@nols.org.

Full-time employees at NOLS receive the following amounts of leave:

  • 11 paid holidays each year.
  • 15 days per year of vacation leave (increases after 4, 9 and 16 years of service).
  • 5 days per year of personal leave.
  • 12 days per year of sick leave.

Amounts are pro-rated for part-time employees working at least 22.5hpw. Amounts are also pro-rated based on an employee’s start date. All employees are allowed minimum sick leave guaranteed under Washington State Law..

In most cases a recruitment at NOLS takes about one month. In some cases, it may take longer. After the hiring managers begin reviewing applications, they will contact applicants of interest directly for telephone screening and/or an in-person interview.
